"Breathing New Life into Classic Instruments"
Bach Stradivarius Model 196 Piccolo Trumpet in Bb/A Professional Model.
Professional Model 196 4 valve Piccolo.
Bore: Standard (.401) Balanced resistance for better endurance.
Overall Condition: Excellent. No dents, or bends. Just a couple of micro dings from a wedding band underneath the bell and out of sight. A few scratches from light handling
Tone: Crisp, Resonant and Sweet. The Stradivarius Piccolo has a bigger throated bell than a Schilke P5-4 and generally plays with a slightly fuller tone. This one has a very nice full tone and is in mechanically superb shape. High range is easy and it does not feel stuffy. This horn looks like it was almost never used but may have been stored away for many years in a closet.
Finish: Clear Lacquer (99% intact)
Serial Number: 244977 (1984).
Valves: Excellent: Crisp, Springy, and Free
Compression: Excellent
Slides: All are free and move smoothly
Two tuning pipes "A" and "Bb" (both trumpet shank)
Old Style Bach Stradivarius Case with genuine leather bumpers
Cost Comparison to a new Bach 196:
